Shooter’s Island is a new FPS Aim trainer practice game developed by Seminaut Game Studios where gamers can test their overall reflexes and timing in First Person Shooter games . Although the game is still in Early-Access on Steam and hasn’t been released yet, I was one of the lucky ones that got to try it out.
Whether you’re aspiring Esports player or a normal gamer trying to improve your FPS skills and K/D ratio, FPS Aim trainer games always come in handy. After hours of playing and exploring Shooter’s Island, I will be reviewing the game by going through all of the features that it has to offer.
Practice in Multiple Environments
Environments currently available:
- Forest
- City
- Volcano
Apart from the visual aspects, each environment is uniquely suited for different type of gun for you to play with.
After you’re spawned on the remote island, you can either choose to explore the island and different shooting areas on your foot OR teleport directly to your desired type of shooting range by going to the OPTIONS 》WARP settings and start your practice without wasting any time regardless of your location on the Island. Hence without it certainly would be a long road from one shooting range to other if you don’t like your time being wasted.

The game being set in realistic region instead of a closed room environment for target practice really adds up to the Virtual Reality experience making gameplay more enjoyable and interactive.
The overall graphics are pretty straightforward and basic –for now, which seems obvious as the game is still in its early development phase and hasn’t been fully released yet. It will be exciting to see the upcoming updates before the game is officially released.
Timed Shooting Trials to test your Accuracy
Target Spotting, Target Flicking, Target Tracking
Start honing your shooting skills and reflexes on timed trials with dummy enemies popping around the corner, with your chosen level of difficulty and speed, before starting the match.
Choose the amount of dummies (enemies) that you want to deal with, along with difficulty level and gun while keeping track of, number of hits you land on targets and timer ticking in front of you on the scoreboard.

For Beginners as well as for Aspiring Gamers
Currently, you can to choose from 3 basic gun types: Pistol, Automatic gun and a Long range rifle with unlimited ammo. Small details like the colour, design of the guns etc at the moment could potentially witness some upgrades in the future during its official release. The game doesn’t display too much gore or distracting effects to the player while playing, making it more appealing for the young player base.
So if you’re someone who’s into competitive gaming or just a casual gamer trying to up your overall shooting skills, then Shooter’s Island is definitely worth checking out.
Whether you choose to play it now or wait for its official release, I’d recommend you to try Shooter’s Island on a Virtual Reality(VR) headset.
