On Monday, Nintendo announced the latest free New Horizons, update, which is scheduled for release on Wednesday, April 28. As the seasons continue to change in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and with that this new seasonal update is released. It will add in upcoming events like May Day (April 29-May 7), International Museum Day (May 18-31) and wedding seasons (June 1-30).

Nintendo from its Animal Crossing account, said seasonal events this year will have “new twists.” In these events, new items appear to celebrate cheese rolling season, which will run from May 22-31 in New Horizons.
For the new comers, cheese rolling is a thing where people chase or rather fall — after a cheese roll that’s punted down a large hill, specifically, at Gloucestershire’s Coopers Hill. It’s typically held at the end of May, and is very brutal. People often get hurt.

The large wheel of cheese is prominently displayed in the press images — you can see villagers enjoying standing near the cheese, holding what looks like glasses of beer sparkling apple cider. (Beer would be fitting for cheese rolling day, because people that chase the cheese are often absolutely smashed.) It’s unclear if you can do anything with the cheese wheel in New Horizons. Here’s to hoping!

The remaining of New Horizons’ seasonal items all look pretty familiar, though there are some new things. Items to celebrate Japan’s Children’s Day (April 28-May 5), Mother’s Day (May 1-31), and Father’s Day (June 1-30) will all be available, too. As for wedding season, Reese and Cyrus appear again, though they’re just celebrating their anniversary by taking more photos. Ah, to be in love.
Fishing tournaments and bug-catching events will too return. Bug Offs are scheduled for June 26, July 24, and Aug. 28. The next fishing tournament is slated for July 10.
