Sony Interactive Entertainment has inked a multiyear partnership with NBA 2K League and make PlayStation 5 as its official console
The NBA 2K League has announced a multiyear partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment to make the PlayStation 5 its official console. For PlayStation brand, this is the first league-level partnership for the latest model. Earlier, it has partnered with esports events during previous console generations. The console and brand will also be presenting sponsors for multiple upcoming events.
As part of this deal, PlayStation 5 will be the presenting partner of the NBA 2KL Three for All Showdown, an online 3v3 event. The PS5 logo will be featured across league broadcasts throughout the season.
The deal will be effected from this month. There are 23 teams and their 138 active players competing on PS5 hardware during games and events going forward.
The upcoming Three for All Showdown Qualifier, will run on April 5 and 6 is being hosted by PlayStation. The winner from the One-On-One qualifier will move on to compete in the Three for All Showdown scheduled on April 9 and 10.
The PS5 will serve as the presenting sponsor of that event. It will feature 2K League players, fans, and social media influencers competing for a share of $25,000 prize pool in three-on-three matchups.

PlayStation will be heavily featured in League Broadcasts through Branding and Signage in the league’s Physical and Virtual Studios.
